It's Wednesday! And that can only mean that I am back, this time, with a quote that I want to share with all of you. A quote that has inspired me, that has done something in me. Today, the words belong to Osho, who was a guru, spiritual teacher and Indian mystic.
The first time I read this I felt this sort of peace, calmness, because it is true. And I'm not going to blame anyone because that is just the way society is, and most of the time we don't question the way things are. My parents have always taught me to be a better person, to get an education, to always aim higher and I think that is great, but sometimes you need to be told "You are good, you are enough", and qoutes such as this one, made me realize this is something that I have to do for myself.
In case you want to read the whole thing, you can find the full speech, here. Had you seen this before? What are your thoughts on it?
*This image is not mine, I just added the text to it. It can be found on unsplash.com
That is a beautiful quote! Thanks for sharing! I agree with everything you said and it's definitely important to accept yourself and not be trying to change constantly for the sake of society or what someone else says.
ResponderEliminarIt makes me so excited to see you are reading the quotes and that you are enjoying them, Olivia! And yep! That is exactly what I am trying to work on. It's not easy but I like to have these reminders and surround me with people who inspire me to be and accept myself.
EliminarThank you for your comment!! :)
This is a beautiful quote! Accepting myself and loving myself for who I am is definitely something that I have struggled with in the past and it is something that I'm slowly growing to do (even if I just tweet 'i love myself' or say 'wow I'm so cute' when I look in a mirror) and I haven't been happier than I am now since before I started secondary school. I love this post! Thank you!
ResponderEliminarOh Nat, I am so glad that you love this post! It is for sure something that takes time. Especially since we've been taught to change, and to be better but few times we're told you are good. Which is why I think these reminders are necessary. Things like telling yourself in front of the mirror things or tweeting them might seem silly but they help soooooo much!
EliminarThank you for stopping by! <333
