My Musings 

I think this is my favorite book of this saga so far. There is so much going on, just like in the other books but this time I felt like the pieces of a puzzle slowly fitting together and making the whole picture a whole.

My Opinión 

Debo admitir que me tomó tiempo adentrarme en este libro. Siento que tal vez era mucho lo que estaba pasando. El Hombre Gris, Declan, Kavinsky, Ronan, Adam, Blue, Gansey, algunas veces quería gritar. Y durante una buena porción del libro, simplemente no estás obsesionado. ¿Saben que a veces uno no puede dejar de leer un libro? Bueno, pues esta vez ese no fue el caso para mí, al menos durante la primera mitad del libro.

Genna is the daughter of Primo Galante, boss of an important crime family, she is constantly getting in trouble and is used to having her father fix the messes she creates, basically she has been raised to be a daddy's girl. Matty is son of Roberto Barsanti, boss of the Barsanti family, another important crime one. What is really interesting about him is that he wants nothing to do with his family's bussiness, which creates a permanent tension between Matty and his father. Things change when Genna and Matty meet and realize the two of them belong to families that have declared a war over a decade and they must decide if their allegiances lie with their families or with the person they have fallen in love with. 

My Musings 

I just read that last sentence I wrote and it sounds VERY dramatic. But that's because the story is actually filled with drama. We sense a Romeo and Juliet vibe from the moment it says there is rivalry between two families, and it is not said lightly. Lives have been lost because of the thirst of power both bosses have. Just by reading the prologue you are sold on this story. It is just one of those moments when you can't stop thinking 'OMG, is this happening?!' And you obviously can't stop reading. 

Nos fuimos

Sí. Soy consciente de que algunas veces no soy muy brillante, que las ideas me llegan algo tarde. Pero como todos esos refranes que sirven como "contentillo", hay uno que dice "más vale tarde que nunca". No sé por qué no se me había ocurrido antes crear un blog en el que pudiera escribir todo lo que sentía a medida que iba leyendo un libro, si es que desde abril del 2012 empecé a leer libros en forma. Aún no sé con qué libro empezar, tengo esa pequeña presión de querer hacer las cosas bien. Tampoco sé todavía qué podría ser ese 'je-ne-sais-quoi' que me puede diferenciar de los 823948293423984 blogs que hay sobre libros en Internet.

Pero bueno, aquí estoy.
