Books I'll Probably Never Read

This is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

I have decided to participate on this even though it is difficult for me to decide on books that I won't read. I don't actively keep a list of them so let's see if I can even complete a list of ten.

P.S. I love you by Cecilia Ahern

I was watching TV one day and stumbled upon a film called P.S I love you. I think I really liked it so I added it to my TBR, sigh. But now I know I won't read it. I am just not interested.
Delirio, by Laura Restrepo

I hate that I start books and don't finish them. A friend lent it to me because we started talking about books and I tried but I just couldn't get into it. I feel bad that I didn't read it.

Harry Potter, by J.K Rowling

Never understood the hype surrounding these books, sorry.

Game of Thrones, by George R.R Martin

I am not interested in watching the TV series either. Just not my cup of tea.

The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald

I don't really know why, but once I almost bought this book. Maybe I saw some quotes or maybe it was because of the movie, but now? Nah. It's not in my TBR list anymore.

Walking Disaster, by Jamie McGuire

I read the first book and I didn't really enjoy it and I wasn't/ I'm not dying to read the second book.

Love, Rosie, by Cecilia Ahern

Again, I already saw the film and it was very cute but I don't think I am going to actually read it. Sadness.

And... Personal Growth Books

I can't really get into that genre. I don't know why.

These are all the books/genres I can think of. Do you agree with any of these? Does the same happen to you when it comes about watching a film first and wanting to read the book later because of the excitement?

  1. I'm not interested in Game of Thrones either. The TV show or the books! Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday!

  2. I started the Harry Potter books when I was like eleven or twelve, and I didn't get the hype, and stopped reading them. I revisited them a decade later, and I loved them. Weird, right?

I'm still unsure about A Song of Fire and Ice series, but who knows... I'll probably get to them one day as I haven't been spoiled by the show yet.

    1. OMG that is so weird indeed. This reminds me of one quote of The Little Prince that I have seen recently and I looove it but when I read it when I was a little girl I definitely didn't enjoy it as much.

Oh so you watch GoT? How is it?

Thanks for your comment, Erin :)

  3. I read The Great Gatsby for school, and I thought I'd love it. I didn't. So boring and weird writing style. Didn't get the metaphors. Maybe I didn't like it just because I had to analyze it for school? Anyways, It's good to hear that there are other people out there who are like me and don't plan on reading Harry Potter! Same for Game of Thrones. Great list!

    1. Yeah, maybe it was because it was for school. Whenever we are forced to do things, we really don't enjoy it much. Hahahah twins! Sometimes I wonder if there is something wrong with me because how can I not like HP? But I knowing I am not alone makes things better.

Thank you for stopping by Olivia! And Welcome to the world of blogging :)

  4. P.S. I Love You: This IS still on my TBR, despite having owned it for YEARS and never having gotten around to reading it. I just love the movie so much, I feel like maybe one day I might want to read the book!

Harry Potter: I read and loved the first book when I was a kid, but I never continued. I do own all the books, just in case I want to read them one day. But to be honest, I don't know if that will ever happen. I feel like I got the enjoyment from the movies, and that's enough.

Game of Thrones: I don't even like the TV show, so there's no way I will ever read this book XD

The Great Gatsby: I read maybe the first page a few years ago, and I was so bored, I could not continue. I'll probably never read it.

Love, Rosie: This was originally called something like At the End of the Rainbow and I LOATHED IT. Do not recommend.

Personal Growth Books: No way, haha. :P

    1. I hope you read PS I love You and maybe I can read your thoughts on it!

Right? The Harry Potter movies were good! Wonder if the fans who read the books and watched the films agree with me, lol.

Never heard anything about GoT so I'm curious, why don't you like it?

Omg really? Have you seen the movie of Love Rosie? I thought it was cute and lovely because Sam Claflin *sighs* and he has a lot of chemistry with Lily Collins.

Thank youuuu for stopping by, lovely Chiara! :)
