The 16 Questions Game: The Selection Edition

I can't believe this post it's finally seeing the light. Just kidding, omg. But it is a joke between me and Nat because we have taken such a long time to make it. A few months ago, Natalie asked if anyone wanted to buddy read with her, and I was one the people who said I do. Then we chose The Selection, as in just the first book and we both flew through it, so we decided to buddy read The Elite and The One too, those had been the books from the saga that were out by that time.

We also didn't want to make a normal review so we came up with this, our version of the 20 Questions Game. Each of us is replying 8 questions we came up with, so without further ado, here are the questions I am replying to. Eeeep!

Hiiiiiii! Breaking the schedule today because I was nominated for the Liebster Award by Olivia @ Fluttering Pages. I would like to thank her for this, because it feels pretty good to see what you do being acknowledged. I do this mainly for myself, but to see other people enjoying the content too, that is pretty great. These are the rules:

Cress by Marissa Meyer

Title: Cress
Author: Marissa Meyer
Published: February 4th, 2014 by Feiwel & Friends.

In this third book in the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, now with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army. Their best hope lies with Cress, a girl imprisoned on a satellite since childhood who's only ever had her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker. Unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice. When a daring rescue of Cress goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a high price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing prevent her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only hope the world has.

My Musings

I’d like to start by talking about Cinder’s character development (She is the main character). I am amazed, because I know that if I was in her position I would have reacted in a similar way. She was overwhelmed and scared at first, but then she realized that she had to be in charge because a lot of people depended on her. It is astonishing to go through the journey of Cinder, Scarlet and Cress and see the way her persona matures; I cannot wait to see what she’s going to be like in Winter.

Helloooooooo! I feel like it's been ages since the last time we 'talked'? And I feel like I am half doing today's Top Ten Tuesday, which is: Top Ten of Most Anticipated Releases of The Rest of 2015. Phew. And the thing is: I am only excited for three books to come out this year, like I am pretty much counting down the days till they come out, so this post is going to be extremely short. But to the point.  That's what I keep telling myself. So here we go.

Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

Title: Scarlet
Author: Marissa Meyer
Published: February 5th, 2013 by Feiwel and Friends.

Cinder, the cyborg mechanic, returns in the second thrilling installment of the bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She's trying to break out of prison--even though if she succeeds, she'll be the Commonwealth's most wanted fugitive. Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit's grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn't know about her grandmother or the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother's whereabouts, she is loath to trust this stranger, but is inexplicably drawn to him, and he to her. As Scarlet and Wolf unravel one mystery, they encounter another when they meet Cinder. Now, all of them must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen Levana, who will do anything for the handsome Prince Kai to become her husband, her king, her prisoner.

My Musings

ANOTHER GREAT BOOK BY MARISSA MEYER. My god I bow down to her talent. At first I was kind of reluctant to have another set of characters in the story because Cinder and Kai, but then as things progressed I found that every person was necessary for the greater good of Earth. (heh)

It's Wednesday! And that can only mean that I am back, this time, with a quote that I want to share with all of you. A quote that has inspired me, that has done something in me. Today, the words belong to Osho, who was a guru, spiritual teacher and Indian mystic.
