Books That Have Made Me Cry

This is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

Hiiiii. I'm back with a TTT, and this time out creativity was put to test because today IS A FREE TOPIC! So I decided to work on the Books That Have Made Me Cry.

Room by Emma Donoghue, this book was heartbreaking. I am looking forward to the movie because it is definitely gonna be a challenge for the actors.

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover, Miles' story was what made me cry because the writing was so full of feeling.

Before I Die by Jenny Downham, I can't remember for sure if I cried with the movie or the book or both but still, I cried.

I'll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson, this is one of those books I know I have to read again because this story was so incredibly beautiful and I couldn't help but get involved with the characters.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak is one of the greatest stories I have had the pleasure of reading. The writing is stunning, the story is beautiful and moving and I obviously bawled.

Allegiant by Veronica Roth, yes I cried oh did I cry. I was not prepared for that.

Sempre by J.M Darhower, I cried with the fanfiction and I cried again with the books. The power this author holds over me is crazy,

All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven, I still get a little bit sad whenever I think of this story. Oh Theodore. Oh Violet.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, this is the second book that has made me cry the most, you know when you can't stop sobbing and then comes a headache and your "heart" hurts? Yeah.

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes, this one wins the first place in this list because what a fucking heartache is gave me. There are no words for this story and how much it broke me.

These are the books (I can think of) that have made me cry. Have you read these? Have you cried with them too? What books have made you cry? Link me your TTT! :)

  1. Great list!
I cried at The Fault in Our Stars, Allegiant, and All The Bright Places, too.
I just read Maybe Someday last week, and I can't wait to pick up another Colleen Hoover book! I've heard Ugly Love is great, but emotional.

  4. The Book Thief, All the Bright Places and Me Before You made me cry, but usually I'm quite cold-hearted when it comes to books. I tend to cry in stupid parts, instead!

    1. But you weren't inmune to Me Before You! That's nice to hear omg. What a great story. It's funny because I like to come off as cold hearted in real life but I cry so easily with books, lol.

Thank you for stopping by, Beth :)
