There is danger in dreaming. But there is even more danger in waking up. Blue Sargent has found things. For the first time in her life, she has friends she can trust, a group to which she can belong. The Raven Boys have taken her in as one of their own. Their problems have become hers, and her problems have become theirs. The trick with found things though, is how easily they can be lost. Friends can betray. Mothers can disappear. Visions can mislead. Certainties can unravel.
My Musings
I think this is my favorite book of this saga so far. There is so much going on, just like in the other books but this time I felt like the pieces of a puzzle slowly fitting together and making the whole picture a whole.
Ronan Lynch, dude. He's probably going to the top of my list of 'Characters I Did Not Give a F*** About At First But Ended Up Loving'. Yup. I kept hearing about Pynch this and Pynch that and first I SPOILED MYSELF BY DOING SO and second I had more expectations?? Or maybe I'm so used to fics that I thought there would be more Pynch interactions but as usual with YA, such a slow burn. I loved it though. Does this word say anything to you: 'manibus'? OHMYGOD GUYS. So much cuteness between those two. Also I had way too much fun 'seeing' them shopping. And then in the parking lot of the grocery store. *cries*
And, saving the best for last: Gansey and Blue. Oh dear, so much angst. You are shipping it before you notice what's happening. I must repeat myself: Blue saw Gansey's soul, Blue saw Gansey's soul, Blue saw Gansey's soul. Their moments are killing me. His coat, the phone calls. Chapter 26 you guys. I'm going through my bookmarks and I pretty much feel like crying. WHY DO AUTHORS DO THIS TO US?!
I loved this book soooooo much. Although, I do have to say I’m kind of upset that there wasn’t any Blue in the final chapter of the book. I needed to know more about her after that last adventure!
I'm so torn between wanting the final book to come out already and wishing time could stay still so it doesn't end because I don't want to say goodbye to this gang. I already fell for the five of them, help!!! I don't even want to say goodbye to The Gray Man (what a nice dude, he's so kind to Blue) Gave it five stars. I'm in love.
YESSSS. I'm so glad you loved this :D It's my second favourite book in the series - the first books always tend to be my favourites because it's when I was introduced to everything and everyone and just LOVE.
ResponderEliminarAnd I'm so glad you love RONAN AND PYNCH. Let us weep and flail together over this pairing. Seriously. I need all the feels and kissing etc etc in The Raven King because if NOT I WILL NOT DIE HAPPY.
