Hello pals! How are y'all doing? We find ourselves in the middle of the week and that, in this blog, means that it's time for the Words to Live By of the week. This week's are so fitting to this blog, where I talk about books. I read it and I found that I could relate to it on a spiritual level. And I know you guys will too!

How are you all doing? How's life treating you, friend? I was going through my likes on tumblr and I found today's quote, read it and freaked out, I knew this was it. But enough of my chatter, here are this week's Words to Live By:
This lovely piece is by the poet Nayyirah Waheed, and it can be found on her twitter account. Tell me this isn't beautiful, please. It's so positive and perfect, because many times I have had this thought, I want to reach this place where my mind is in harmony with my body, where I'm not fighting for the "perfect shape". And I know this is something a lot of people struggle with. And to imagine your body replying with this is unbelievable because basically that's what it wants. To be friends with whoever is occupying it, right? This quote is just so inspiring. It makes me think 'fuck standards! Life's too fucking short to live in a constant battle with my own home'.
I found some more quotes from Waheed, and they are giving me ALL THE FEELS, so if you want to check them here they are. And if you are even more interested, she's published a book called 'Salt'.
What do you think? How are you? Let's catch up! See you soon.
-Ale.

Hello. The Words to Live By are back! It's been five days since Halsey's debut album "Badlands" came out and I am still obsessed with it. Sorry, not sorry. So I obviously have to share a quote out of the album because I think this is the first time I find that I can actually relate to a song. I listen to some of the songs of this album and I think "Get out of my head, Ashley!! How dare you". So here are this week's Words to Live By brought to you by the genius artist, Halsey.
You can listen to it here
There's something about this song, that makes me feel as if it was my own, you know? Especifically that second paragraph I put in the image. Sharing this feels too personal, ahhh! It's as if you guys can look into my current state of mind. I know I tend to post happy quotes on this feature but just bear with me for now please. Tell me, what do you think of this quote? Of the song? Of Badlands?
See you next week! :)

Hello! Today is Wednesday, and you guys know what that means (or I hope so, anyway. Lol): This week's Words to Live By are here! I wanted to browse the Internet to decide on a quote but things worked out in a different way. Today, I started reading Bad Feminist: Essays by Roxane Gay and I found myself highlighting quite a few sentences, but there is one I particularly want to share with you in this feature:

Hiiiiiii, ohmygod. It's been ages since the last time I was here, or at least that's how it feels like. I have been working and I don't really have time to work on a post but here I am, finding the time to share with you all this week's quote because first, I love sharing quotes and second, I love reading your musings. But I'm going to stop now, because I am LOVING this week's Words to Live By and I just can't wait for you to read them.

It's Wednesday! And that can only mean that I am back, this time, with a quote that I want to share with all of you. A quote that has inspired me, that has done something in me. Today, the words belong to Osho, who was a guru, spiritual teacher and Indian mystic.

Words inspire me. They fill a void in me and some words are so precious that I wish I could keep them in my heart or get them inked on my forehead. But since I can't do either I thought I would start with this new 'section' on my blog, a space to share quotes that are meaningful to me. The words to live by. (cheeeeeeese) And also because I have been inspired by bloggers such as Chiara, who also posts quotes every Sunday in her meme Simply Sunday.
I want to start this meme (I think that's what this is called) with a quote by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who I think said this in her TED talk, "We should all be feminists".
