Books I'd Love To See As Movies/Tv Shows

This is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

Hellllllllo. I am back with a Top Ten Tuesday, I am so excited about participating in this one, because this is a topic I constantly think of, like whenever I read a book, and I find myself enjoying it and tweeting about it, I think: "If this were a movie who would be cast as____?". Today I am going to share with all of you the Top Ten Books I'd LOVE to see as Movies/TV shows.

The Lunar Chronicles, by Marissa Meyer: That amazing plot?! Cinder? Kai? Wolf? Scarlet? My love, Captain Thorne? Oh how I want those books into films.

Shatter Me series, by Tahereh Mafi:  The movies wouldn't make it justice at all but what the hell, man. I have to see Warner in the flesh. That's my reasoning. Bye.

The Original Sinners Series, by Tiffany Reisz: Soren in the flesh? Nora? Kingsley? Oh lord. Although I think there's no way these books would ever be made into films. *fans self*

The Selection series, by Kiera Cass: PRINCE MAXON. Do I need to say more!?!!? Also, imagine all those pretty dresses in real life. Oh god. And again, Prince Maxon. Enough said.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone series, by Laini Taylor: All of those fantastic creatures!?!?!? Oh man. That is one great story and it deserves to be made into a film. More people deserve to meet Akiva.

Sempre series, by J.M Darhower: </3 I want these books to be films SO BADLY no one understands. I saw this story "be" right in front of my eyes and I love those characters so much. the emotional roller coaster is W I L D, it would be a great movie.

The Raven Cycle series, by Maggie Stiefvater: Gansey, Ronan, Blue, Adam and Noah. I don't think I need to say more. Pynch in the flesh? Oh god.

Anna and The French Kiss series, by Stephanie Perkins: Those books are incredibly cute and I know the movies could be something amazing and cute, too. It would be great to see that whole group.

I'll Give You The Sun, by Jandy Nelson: What a beautiful book. It deserves so much attention. And I know a film would be a way to do it.

Hopeless series, by Colleen Hoover: Basically I want to see Dean Holder, like actualy see him not just imagine him. And it's such a great story with the right amount of angst, I love it.

These are my elections! What do you think of them!? Agree? Disagree? Show me yours! :)

  1. Oh goodness, what I wouldn't give for a Shatter Me film series! (Because WARNER. *swoons forever*) The thing is, I feel like you just can't do justice to the whole crossed-out word situation in text, you know? That would be my only fear, especially since that's one of my favourite part of the books - but I'm sure if Ms Mafi were part of the movie team, she'd be able to think of something just as, if not more, creative ;)

    Wonderful picks, love! x

    1. I know what you mean, Topaz! I keep thinking ohhh no maybe just don't touch this saga because it's too close to my heart and then I am going to find something to complain about every single thing related to the films, hahaha. Imagine how lovely it would be if Tahereh Mafi were part of the movie team! OMG! We can dream, right?

Thank you sooooo much for commenting! :)

  3. The Selection would make a great film hands-down. I mean, it's The Bachelor meets The Hunger Games? Why can't people see the potential in this series? I'm really hoping there's a film in the works after that TV show was never picked up.

    1. I think The Selection is going to be a movie, I do remember fangirling the day news broke out. Ugh I keep imagining all those pretty dresses in real life and most importantly, Prince Maxon. Oh god.

Thank you for your comment, Miguel! :)

  4. Great list!
The Selection was supposed to be a TV show, but it got shut down before it really even started. I thought I heard that maybe they were supposed to be movies now? But I could be wrong. I do hope this series gets made into something eventually, because it would be a great TV show.
